<aside> ✍🏼 Alphabirds precedes the ABSeas of SG capsule. It lags the latter, however, as I got distracted$^*$ by the joy of illustrating sea creatures. As its name implies, it’s an inspiration to draw locally representative birds from A to Z. To complement the theme, and with the vision of having this as an educational poster for little ones, I leaned towards whimsy.

$^*$As a creative dilettante, I’m driven by artistic impulses that must be expressed for particular projects, until they are exhausted. When the vigour dissipates, the creative inspiration also evapourates. A new cycle then begins. This explains why I rotate through projects and why Alphabirds is under-developed 😅.

Nevertheless, here are some highlights, while it continues to be gestated.

A card of encouragement for Skillseed’s stakeholders during the Pandemic

We made two versions. The Mandarin version was sent to our stakeholders in China. (Hack: Canva generates these high res flat lays to show how your prints will look. I thought they made great showcase images without actually needing the actual associated props)

This was printed and sent to Skillseed’s local community partners during the challenging pandemic season.
